Because of the Allow submission of any file type option, an Instructor from any discipline can use Turnitin.

7 BP 2: Report Generation If originality reports are generated immediately, they will also be generated on the due date. The reports are generated twice. This ensures that student papers within a given class are compared to each other (on the due date).

8 BP 3: ETS eRater Enable grammar checking using ETS e-rater technology: ETS e-Rater comments are available for students immediately after the assignment is submitted. E-Rater comments may be dismissed by the instructor.

9 BP 4: Student Paper Repository
Submit papers to: If papers are added to the standard repository, the student username associated with that paper will not be associated with the paper. For Rough Draft assignments that will have a final draft, consider not storing the Rough Draft in the Standard Repository. This prevents the final draft from being compared to the Rough draft and generating a Similarity Index of 100%. When working in a Development or Test environment, do not store papers in the repository. Do not store papers in the standard repository that may be published at a later date.
