This week we talked about apples! We voted for our favorite kind of apple and many students are excited to do a taste test at home to see if they like red, green or yellow apples best! We made ourselves quite hungry talking about all the things you can make with apples!
This week the students also practiced writing their first name using proper uppercase and lowercase letters. Please have them continue to practice this when they write their name at home. Next week they will get their first taste of “homework” when I send home their October Fun-Work and some first and last name writing practice.
Next week we will learn more letters of the alphabet, and we will continue with our numbers and shapes in math. Mrs. Mehrotra, the Occupational Therapists, will also be back to help students properly use scissors.
