Hardy Weinberg Principle
States that allele frequencies should remain constant in a gene pool unless something causes one or more factors interferes with the gene pool and causes a change.

The Hardy Weinberg equation predicts that five conditions can disturb equilibrium. They are:
Nonrandom mating Small population size Immigration or Emigration Mutations Natural Selection

The Formula P2 + 2pq + q2 = 1 also p + q = 1 This reads
(Frequency of AA) + (Frequency of Aa) + (Frequency of aa) = 100% (Frequency A) + (Frequency a) = 100%
