States that allele frequencies should remain constant in a gene pool unless something causes one or more factors interferes with the gene pool and causes a change.

3. The Hardy Weinberg equation predicts that five conditions can disturb equilibrium. They are:
Nonrandom mating
Small population size
Immigration or Emigration
Mutations
Natural Selection
