The arrangement of events that tell a story.

7. Five Parts of Plot – Write these down in your binder/notebook (not journal)!
exposition – Sets up the situation and we are introduced to the characters.

Rising action – events that build toward a high point or climax

Climax – the high point of the story when it becomes clear how the conflict will turn out.
