I will use “namecheap.com” for the purpose of this training. Because I can testify on their service.
You also need to have an account. You can quickly create a gmail account for your blog if you don’t have any.
To start
Type namecheap.com (i.e hosting company) on any search engine like Google or Chrome and click search.
You will be taken to there webpage to begin your Domain name search, Hosting plan purchase and domain name purchase etc.

7. Click on “Domain Name Search” from the drop box

Click on domain
Click on “Domain Name Search” from the drop box
A new page will pop up 1 2

8. If available, click on ‘Add to Cart’ as shown above.

Type in your desired domainname.com (it could be .com, .org, .ng etc) and click on search button.
If the name is available you will see the good sign, if not available it will show the X sign and you can either change the name or choose from the suggested list below.
If available, click on ‘Add to Cart’ as shown above. 2 1

9. Add your desired hosting plan taking the details into consideration.

Click on the desired command (purchase a new domain is recommended for new users)

11. Type in the earlier checked available name in the search box.

Choose the duration for your purchase
Click ‘Add new Domain to Cart’ 2 1 3

12. Preview ‘your order’ from order box at the right side bar

Click “Continue”
A new page will appear

13. Scroll down to validate your order

Scroll down to validate your order
Remember to remove it from Auto-Renew.
Scroll down and click add SSL
(Recommended).
Scroll down to ensure SSL is added, then proofread your order once again to ensure its correct.
Click Confirm Order.
A new page will appear.

14. Create a new Namecheap account if you’re a new user.

Create a new Namecheap account if you’re a new user.
Enter the required details and click ‘Create Account and Continue”.
This account will give you access to your Namecheap account.
A new set up page will appear

15. Scroll down to verify all the details earlier enter, if is OK

On the Setup page:
Scroll down to verify all the details earlier enter, if is OK
Click continue
On the Billing page:
Type in details of payment on the box provided using your bank debit card (auto renewal not recommended, make sure it’s not on auto)
Progress

16. Go through all the details displayed, if its OK

On the Order page:
Go through all the details displayed, if its OK
Click on confirm order and Done
You will receive details of your cpanel via the account use for registration and purchase.
The cpanel information will grant you access to your ‘cpanel dashboards’ for the next step of setting up your blog.
