2. BIOGRAPHY He was born in the 14th November 1889
He died in the 27th May 1964
He was the first Prime Minister of India 
 He was leader of the Indian independence movement under the tutelage of Mahatma Gandhi.
Nehru and the Congress dominated Indian politics during the 1930s as the country moved towards independence.

3. Nehru's theosophical interests had induced him to the study the Buddhist and Hindu scriptures.
 His wife Kamala and his dougtherx Indira.
Nehru was arrested on charges of anti-governmental activities in 1921

4. WORLD WAR II AND THE INDIAN MOVEMENT
After much deliberation the Congress under Nehru informed the government that it would co-operate with the British but on certain conditions. 
In October 1940, Gandhi and Nehru, abandoning their original idea of supporting Britain, decided to do a limited civil disobedience campaign.

5. Nehru played a leading role in the development of the internationalist Indian independence struggle.
He died because of a heat attack.
Nerhu´s thoughts and actions have influenced the history in India and all over the world.
