Multiple Meaning Words are words that have several meanings depending upon how they are used in a sentence. Remember, we use CONTEXT CLUES to help us figure out which meaning is correct.

Steps Read the underlined word. Read the sentence.
Look at clues in the sentence to figure out the meaning of the underlined word. Re-read the sentence to make sure your meaning makes sense.
