Ms. Tammy & Ms. Kelly We had a very fun month of October! Our class is getting much better at our routines.  In November, our themes will be fall leaves, turkeys, harvest, and being thankful. We are working on rhyming, positional words (under, over, top, middle, bottom, etc.), and identifying and writing letters T, I, and U. Our social skills curriculum will focus this month on identifying feelings and showing empathy. We have started a word of the week program and the words we will work on in November are WHAT, ME, and MORE. Last month, we focused on the words GO, IN, DIFFERENT, HELP, and STOP. Halloween Children may wear costumes to school on Wednesday. We will still play outside that day so please ensure that the costume will be safe for the playground and includes appropriate footwear. Reminder We go outside, even if it is sprinkling. Please send a warm coat with your child every day. Mittens are easier to put on than gloves. Conferences If you haven’t already, please log on to your child’s Skyward account and schedule a conference with me on either Thursday, November 1 or Friday, November 2. If none of the times on the schedule work for you, please let me know and we will find a different time to meet. Remember that there will be no school for your student on Thursday, November 1 in order to allow time for the conferences. ©Thrifty in Third Grade 2016 Upcoming Events November 1 & 2 - Conferences (No School) November 21 – 23 – Thanksgiving Break (No School) November 29 – Picture Retake Day November 29 – Silly Sock Day
