5 Eduskunta and open data
Eduskunta and open data Citizens are creating websites that follow the parliamentary work and gather information about MP’s (news, blogs, opinions, decisions…) Main goal is to open the Finnish parliament data  Eduskunta data to be freely available to everyone, without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control. Open access.

6 What is crowdsourcing? Crowdsourcing is the act of outsourcing tasks, traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, to an undefined, large group of people or community (a "crowd"), through an open call. Crowdsourcing is a distributed problem-solving and production model. In the classic use of the term, problems are broadcast to an unknown group of solvers in the form of an open call for solutions. National e-participation environment GOALS: To enhance and enable dialog and interaction between citizens and public servants and improve e-participation In practice, to modernize web-based tools and processes, into a ”toolbox” that is easy to take into use – by citizens, associations, government agencies and municipalities Goal is to builds an ecosystem of services – with commercial and non-profit add-on services complementing the services developed in the program
