Conclusions • MB larval pruning is necessary for adult STM not for LTM. • STM and LTM may be two parallel and independent memory systems. It is possible to get LTM without STM. sequential model : LRN > STM > LTM > STM (g) > LTM (ab) parallel model : LRN
