knot A knot is made by passing one end of a string or rope through a loop and pulling it tight. The boy showed how a strong knot in a rope can hold things together. Why is it a good idea to tie your shoelaces into a tight knot?

copy To copy means to do or make something exactly like another thing.

heavily If something moves heavily, it moves as if it weighs a lot.

seriously When you act or speak seriously, you are sincere and not joking. The boy takes playing chess seriously. He does not laugh or joke around. When have you spoken seriously about something?

guessed If you guessed about something, you formed an idea without knowing all the facts. The boy hid his eyes. He guessed that his friend was hiding behind a big tree. When have you guessed correctly about something?
