In honor of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice, STC is proud to present a classic stage adaptation of the novel and host a series of interactive experiences based on real activities from the period in which the novel is set.
Pride and Prejudice will play from Oct. 2nd to Oct 27th. Patrons who have purchased a ticket to any of the 28 regularly scheduled performances are cordially invited to attend any of the added Jane Austen Month Experiences as our guest.

Keynote Speaker
David H. Bell

Mr. Bell is a professor emeritus from Sac State University. He is considered the leading Austen authority in Sacramento. He will speak on all things Austen, from her upbringing, to societal norms in her era, and how her works impacted society.
Q&A session moderated by STC’s Michael Laun to follow.
Costume Conversations with Jessica

Actors from our production will model period costumes as STC costume designer Jessica Minnihan discusses various aspects of Regency Dress.
Patrons are encouraged to arrive in their own period attire, with a lovely prize awarded for the most authentic costume.

Starting in the 18th Century, Afternoon Tea was a popular and very formal tradition. We invite you to enjoy “High“ Tea with characters from the play as it was experienced in Austen’s time.
