2 Task 1 students to list the following objects in order from largest to smallest. Objects: virus, atoms, molecules, grain of sand, mites, typical animal cell, typical plant cell, a pollen grain, width of a hair, etc. Discuss the answers. (grain of sand, pollen grain, mite, width of hair, plant call, animal cell, virus, molecule, atom)

3 Key Vocab Macroscopic: Large enough to be seen or examined by the unaided eye. Microscopic: Too small to be seen or examined by the unaided eye. Micrometer: a thousandth of a millimeter. Magnification: The factor by which an object is enlarged.
