Reformers focused on rehabilitation Move mental patients to separate hospitals Improve conditions in prisons to help the convicted person change Ex. Dorothea Dix

5 Women's Rights Want more rights – to own property, to be educated, to work, etc... Seneca Falls Convention Gathering of women's rights activists They declared a set of goals, including the right to vote Ex. - Susan B. Anthony
