The project is the development of one or more Mechanical Engineering Thermal Fluids, Vibrations, or other labs while at the same time overseeing the installation of a Reciprocating Compressor and providing a platform for future teams to develop Health Monitoring Technology.

Where and When?
The compressor will be installed in the test cell inside the KGCOE Machine Shop. The Compressor should available for delivery from Dresser-Rand for the winter quarter with the project finishing in the spring.

Why?
There are two main purposes to this project
To enhance the laboratory experience of engineering students at RIT.
To provide a platform for future Senior Design Teams to develop Compressor Health Monitoring Technology for Dresser Rand.
Health Monitoring Technology aims provide users with information regarding the state of various components within the compressor system.
