Why am I teaching this lesson? What do I hope to accomplish? What is the time frame for teaching this lesson? How will I begin the lesson to capture student attention? – Activator Resources: text, handouts, visual displays How will students spend their time during the lesson? –small group work, hands-on, worksheets Pg.77

Creating the Lesson Plan
Assessment: informal, quiz or test, observation of learning, open-ended questions Lesson closure: review and summary, homework assigned Self-reflection: what worked, what could be improved, students’ engagement How will the next lesson relate to or build on this one?- student responses, extending concept Pg. 77

10% - Introducing objectives, new vocabulary and key questions 70% - Meat of Lesson– Lecture, student participation through discussion, note taking, group activity or individual work.
