5 Too much…Sodium? Disrupts the fluid balance in your body by making you retain water for a period of time. BLOATING! As sodium intakes increase, average blood pressure rises. As blood pressure rises, the risk of death from cardiovascular disease climbs steadily.

6 Too much…Protein? A diet in which protein makes up more than 30% of your caloric intake causes a buildup of toxic ketones. So-called ketogenic diets can thrust your kidneys into overdrive in order to flush these ketones from your body. As your kidneys rid your body of these toxic ketones, you can lose a significant amount of water and can lead to dehydration.

8 Too much…Saturated Fat?
Eating too much saturated fat is one of the major risk factors for heart disease. A diet high in saturated fat causes a soft, waxy substance called cholesterol to build up in the arteries. Too much fat also increases the risk of heart disease because of its high calorie content, which increases the chance of becoming obese.
