10/15/20 HP Power Packs Vacuum Box along with Vacuum Pump

4 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
12MT Capacity Single/Double Acting cylinders 100mm stroke length Inter-connected using high-pressure hydraulic hoses Operating Pressure: 110 bar or 112 kg/cm2 Tested Pressure: 165 bar or 169 kg/cm2

5 18MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
18MT Capacity Double Acting cylinders 100mm stroke length Inter-connected using high-pressure hydraulic hoses Operating Pressure: 156 bar or 159 kg/cm2 Tested Pressure: 195 bar or 199 kg/cm2

6 Components of Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Hydraulic Tank Jack Unit (1 No.) Stay Pipe (2 Nos.) Trestle Box (1 No.) Lower Lug (2 Nos.) Upper Lug (2 Nos.) Sliding Chair (1 No.) Lifting Arm (1 No.) Base Plate (1 No.) Loading Point (1 No.)

7 Hydraulic Tank Jack Connection & Layout

8 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Note: 50 nos. of Hydraulic Tank Jacks calculated for a standard tank diameter of 40m dia x 15m 450MT 2. 1 no. of 50Ton Crane calculated if hired for full year

9 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 1 Tank foundation is completed. After checking the Foundation, tank centre point and tank co-ordinates are marked. Annular plates & tank bottom/base plates erection & welding & vacuum box testing completed as per code. Tank Shell ring location marked on the tank base plates. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

10 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 2 Temporary Structural Members are erected at every 3000mm on the tank ring marking. The Shell plates are erected / placed on these Structural Members. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

11 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 3 Erection & welding of Top most 2 shell course plates (Max 4m ht.) is completed. For fixed roof (cone/dome) tanks, curb angle, roof structures and roof plates erection/welding to be completed. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

12 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 4 Required no. of Hydraulic jacking units are assembled and erected and aligned inside the tank. Special cleats (Lifting and Guide) fabricated earlier as per details given are welded to the lowest tank shell. Hydraulic jacking units are connected to the shell cleats and the Hydraulic Power pack is connected with the jacks through Hydraulic Hoses. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

13 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 5 On operating the hydraulic power pack, the hydraulic oil starts circulating through hoses to all the jacking units and as the oil pressure increases all the jacks start climbing/ lifting together to complete 1 operation 100 mm lift. On completion of 1 cycle all the jacks stay at the lifted position on the jack rod due to a special grip mechanism in the jacking units. The pressure is released from the hydraulic power pack The operation is repeated till the height of erection for placement of next shell is achieved. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

14 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 6 Next Shell plate erection and vertical seam welding is completed and the lifted shell plates are lowered by the jacking units to align with the new shell plate and welding is completed. Jacking units are lowered. Cleats are removed and welded to the next shell plates and the operation from Stage 3 to 5 is repeated and the tank erection is completed. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

15 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
Stage 7 Erection of spiral staircase, wind girder and other structural supports and radiography and cleaning of shell can be completed simultaneously as the erection of the shell is in progress. 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks

16 12/18MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
SAFETY Hydraulic Tank Jacks are much more safe as compared to conventional method of tank fabrication No work to be executed above 4 meters from the tank bottom level Working at dizzying heights is not required as the tank is fabricated in reverse order, i.e. the roof is erected first and the first shell is erected last

17 12/18MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks
ECONOMICS As seen earlier, Suryoday Technologies Hydraulic Tank Jacking Equipments can break-even well within three years against the expenses of a 50Ton Crane for erection. No skilled & expensive labor required for working at dizzying heights Very low on maintenance as compared to regular heavy expenses of a Crane No special scaffolding required as working at heights is not required

18 10HP / 15HP Power Packs Power Packs required for lifting 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks Usage of either 10HP or 15HP depends on the number of 12MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks Connected to Hydraulic Tank Jacks using high-pressure hydraulic hoses Hydraulic oil tank capacity of 250 liters

19 20HP Power Packs Power Packs required for lifting 18MT Hydraulic Tank Jacks Connected to Hydraulic Tank Jacks using high-pressure hydraulic hoses Hydraulic oil tank capacity of 300 liters

20 Vacuum Box with Vacuum Pump
Used for testing of any leakages on the tank bottom Light-weight and can be moved around easily High accuracy level as soap-water bubble method is used

21 Types of Tank Floating Roof Tanks Double Walled Tanks
Column Supported Tanks Storage Silos Tanks at an Elevation

22 Various Fabrication Projects
Fabrication of tanks Dismantling of tanks Increase the height of tanks Decrease the height of tanks Increase the diameter of tanks Decrease the diameter of tanks Relocate tanks Replace tank bottoms Repair tank bottoms

23 Advantage over Conventional Method
Shell erection is faster, reducing the time factor Lower risks of accidents and safety achievement is high Easy access for inspection at all stages Improved Quality of work Higher capacity cranes are not needed Special scaffolding arrangement is not required Safety in construction environment Over all cost reduction Versatile in operation inside refineries or in open fields
