Three Important elements of ethical decision making:
Decision about a right or wrong action.
(To involve ethics a decision must involve you or other people in a significant way.)
Decision is based on reason and not based on emotion or reaction.
Decision is impartial.
(Applying the same rules to everyone.)

E. Are We Ever Justified in Violating the Law?
Civil Disobedience is an open, peaceful, violation of the law to protest alleged injustice.
The goal of those who engage in civil disobedience is to make the law more just, not advance self interest.
People who participate in acts of civil disobedience are willing to be arrested to challenge the law in court.
Scofflaws are people who do not respect the law and violate the law for personal gain.
