13 What is Open Contracting?
Open Contracting is a new and growing movement focused on enhanced disclosure and participation in public contracting. Open Contracting (OC) is a new and growing movement focused on enhancing disclosure and participation in public contracting.

14 How does OC work? OC emphasizes a multi-stakeholder approach, and is a cross-sectoral and cross-regional effort. OC seeks to reinforce existing initiatives while also broadening participation from government, civil society and the private sector at the global and country levels.

15 Platform for input 1. Address any concerns e.g. potential commercial sensitivities 2. Help ensure contract information is properly understood, contextualized and utilized 3. Inform guidance to governments on contract disclosure – what/why/when/how 4. Inform evidence base of impacts 5. Strengthen process that can reinforce “win-win” deals
