3. Why did the United States feel they needed to invade?
The US felt they needed to invade to dispose Fidel Castro, an avowed communist who wanted an alliance with Soviet Russia, because this was the Cold War and we were trying to stop the spread of Communism.

4. Who did they get to invade?
They got Cuba to invade, there were around 14,00 Cuban refugees that were trained by Americans to take the new Fidel Castro out of power. Fiedel was an Anti- American Communist. Fiedel nationalized all businesses, Fiedel took power after the American-backed Fulgencio was overthrown. Some Cuban citizens who fled Castro's new regime were trained to fight against him without involving the US Government because he was allies with the Soviet Union. Cubans tried to bomb Castro's planes and invade to get there country back.

President Kennedy latest plan that was code-named Operation Pluto, involved 1,000 men to be landed in a ship-borne invasion at Trinidad, Cuba, about 270KM south- east of Havana. This was a failed military invasion of Cuba undertaken by the CIA.

6. What was the outcome of the invasion?
As a result of the US failure at Bay of Pigs and diplomatic embarrassment that ensured. President Kennedy fired CIA director and the ones Responsible for the Operation. 4 American pilots and over 100 Cuban invaders were killed in battle. President Kennedy was embarrassed in front of the world. This led eventually to the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
