Euphemism Example: The employee formerly called a “janitor” is now known by a euphemism, such as “maintenance engineer” or “custodian” Definition: Substitution of a “good” expression for an unpleasant one

Euthanasia Example: Many believe that anyone who commits euthanasia, regardless of the circumstances, is a murderer. Definition: controversial practice of mercifully putting to death a person suffering from an incurable, painfully distressing disease.
