Proclamation of 1763 After the French and Indian War, English Colonists wanted the French Land! King George didn’t want another war with the Native Americans Drew a line down the Appalachian Mountains and told colonists to NOT CROSS IT Result- Colonists felt like they weren’t free to live where they wanted

The Quartering Act- 1764 Many British soldiers were left in the colonies after the French and Indian War IT would cost a LOT of money to feed them and house them Quartering Act says that the colonists must house the soldiers and pay for it themselves Result- Colonists having to waste their own food and money to take care of the soldiers

The Coercive/Intolerable Act
After the Boston Tea Party, England was MAD!!! England passed the Coercive Acts as a way to punish Massachusetts Closed Boston Harbor until tea was paid for Took away the government of Massachusetts Result- Colonists called them the INTOLERABLE Acts. Felt that England could overthrow their government
