MATERIALS NEEDED -A clear plastic bottle. - A teat of a baby bottle. - A deep container. - A cigarette. - Water and cotton. - A match or lighter. - Awl or a sharp element. PROCEDURE -Fill the bottle with water. - Make the teats hole bigger so as you can introduce the cigarette on it.. - Put some cotton inside the teat and fix the teat in the bottle rim. -Using the awl make a small hole on the bottom of the bottle which you are going to cover and uncover. - Put the bottle into the deep container and light the cigarette. -After finishing the experience have a look at the cotton. HYPOTHESIS: The tar gets sticked into the lungs.

MATERIALS NEEDED -A shoes box - A clear glass container with straight faces - Scissors - Water - A torch PROCEDURE -Cut a narrow slot in one face of the box. - Put the water into the glass container. -Put the container into the box. -Switch on the torch and put it into the slot. - Notice: What happens? -Suggestion : perform the experiment in the darkness. HYPOTHESIS: The light changes its direction when it crosses the water. CONCLUSION REFRACTION The light moves slower inside the water than in the air.

HOW DOES MOULD GROW Get these materials ready two slices of fresh bread two glasses of water two tablespoons of sugar two plastic bags Follow the instructions Wet one of the slices of bread with water. Put the bread into a plastic bag and close the bag well. Label the bag without sugar. Put two tablespoons of sugar into a glass of water. Mix the sugar and water well. Wet the second slice of bread with the sugar water. Put the bread into a plastic bag and close the bag well. Label the bag with sugar. Put the bags with the bread in them in a dark place, at normal room temperature.
