3. Wall Street Crash
Also known as Black Tuesday, and the Stock Market Crash of 1929.
Began in late October 1929 and was the most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States.
The crash signalled the beginning of the 10-year Great Depression that affected all Western industrialized countries.

4. The Great Depression
The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade preceding World War II. 
The timing of the Great Depression varied across nations, but in most countries it started in 1930 and lasted until the late 1930s or middle 1940s.
It was the longest, most widespread, and deepest depression of the 20th century.

5. The American Dream
The American dream is the dream that everyone could have freedom. And fulfil there dreams. What ever they be.

6. Itinerant (or migrant) workers
Economy
There wasn’t very much money and everything was really expensive.

Because there wasn’t any money and there weren’t a lot of jobs going lots of people travelled to find work.

7. The Dustbowl It was series of really bad dust storms in the 1930’s.
They caused major destruction to agriculture in America.
It was caused by a really long drought.
Another reason why was because they over farmed the land and that meant there were no roots keeping the soil together.

8. Race and racism in 1930 blacks had no civil rights
land ownership was possible but very limited. E.g. if a black family "owned" land, the white people could take it if the saw a use for it.
Blacks were not allow to serve in any political positions on any level.
Formal education was not given to blacks.
It was illegal for blacks to read books or go to any school or library. if caught reading you could be hung or face jail time.
Basically it was really racist and being black in 1930s America was really hard.

9. Women (their status and stereotypes)
They do all the cooking and cleaning
Many worked in factories
Care for the children
They are shown to “dress well” when doing chores around the house
