1 Career of a Lawyer By Trentin Sisson

2 Description of Career A lawyer advises their clients and interpret laws to the defense of their client. They mainly just represent their client in court and try to convince the judge that their client is right. Most lawyers design their game plan with their client, but all judges represent their client in court.

3 Education and Training
To become a lawyer you need to have a bachelor degree which takes 4 years of college. After you get your bachelor degree you have to take an additional 3 years of law school but some people take 4. You can go to any college but I would go to a high educational college like Harvard. To get into Harvard you need to qualify for their requirements and have a high score on your SAT, ACT, and AP tests.

4 Opportunities for Advancement
To be a mid-level associate you need 3-5 years of experience in employment law To be a tax lawyer you will be primarily accountable for increasing sales and overall business. To be a Senior Associate, which is the highest level for a lawyer, you have to be an equal opportunity employer and go through being a mid- level associate and a tax lawyer. There are many other levels of being a lawyer, but these are just the three I mentioned.

5 Salary and Benefits The average salary of a lawyer is $115,820 in San Jose, California; Bridgeport, Connecticut; and San Francisco.. The highest possible level pay is about $187,200 in San Jose, California; Bridgeport, Connecticut; and San Francisco. The benefits of being a lawyer are: A wide selection of career options; financial and emotional rewards; mental stimulation and intellectual challenges; argue and debate; and lastly their work environment

6 Aptitudes and Values Required
To be a lawyer you need good communication skills, good attention to detail, and good judgment. Also a lawyer should have a curious nature and should be adept at asking curious questions to defend their client. Also great lawyers should have problem solving abilities, conversational skills, and organization skills.
