Differentiated value proposition Compact controller
Renowned for its outstanding performance and quality, the IRC5C from ABB is now up to 25% smaller Compact and easy to integrate Saves space One phase 220/230 V Built-in 16 inputs & 16 outputs A fully fledged member of IRC5 family All the benefits of the #1 robot controller No need to re-train Many common spare parts So, what does the Compact have to offer? Well, the name actually says it all – the IRC5 Compact is a truly compact controller. The same user experience, regardless if the robot carries 3 or 500 kg! This means that the superior motion performance (same as with other controller variants) the FlexPendant HMI the off-line support through RobotStudio the RAPID language the connectivity over field busses and network etc – they are all there for you! To conclude, a full blown IRC5 controller in a truly compact format. © ABB Group January 18, 2019 | Slide 3

IRC5C 2nd generation Improvements and updates
Easy integration and commissioning Supports 19” rack mount in 600mm cabinet Serviceability greatly improved Integrated Vision inside controller Placement on both sides supported Improved user experience Clear and clean front layout Silent fans All connectors easily accessible Smaller 9% smaller compared to first generation 25% smaller 19” rack mount solutions The second generation IRC5C compact inherits the benefits of the first generation and adds unique improvements IRC5C can now be mounted in industrial cabinets of the depth 600mm, compared to 800mm for the first generation, i.e. 25% smaller rack mounted solution Integrated vision supported, all components inside the controller Serviceablity greatly improved. All service procedures/part replacement can be done in less 10minutees © ABB Group January 18, 2019 | Slide 4

Options Most RobotWare options available Main limitations
Including integrated Iision FlexPendant Most I/O options Force Control Remote Service Remote operator panel Main limitations No MultiMove No additional axes No SafeMove and EPS HotPlug for FlexPendant Of course, given the compact format, there are a number of options that are not possible or irrelevant to combine with Compact. On a more positive note, let’s take a look at things that actually ARE available! © ABB Group January 18, 2019 | Slide 11 11
