The Better Way The flesh must be put to death
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires When?

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin – Romans 6:4-6

Recognition salvation is through Jesus Christ For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (5:1) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (2:20)

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. (5:17)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law -- Galatians 5:22-23
