L.O.N. Checklist. Language – 30% :
Was there a clear beginning, middle and end / an introduction, complication, climax and conclusion / some distinct arrangement to the sequence of events? Was there a definite setting as regards time and place. Was it interesting and original (not a remake of Fast and Furious Fifteen) Were descriptions vivid and realistic? Were characters realistic and convincing (i.e. did you use effect description and dialogue)? Did the story have a lesson?

Note: Language of narration can be the easiest or hardest to do. You can link different arguments or information together with the odd line. Here however, there must be a flow of writing. Spend extra time planning this type of work.

Homework Focus on your one essay this week to prepare for the exam. Use the notes to check or improve said essay. Next week, hand up the essay you plan to write for the leaving cert.
