6. WARPING Weaving beams are prepared at the warping department.
Yarn on cones are put into beam form ready for weaving.
All ends put into one package required for the next process.

9. WEAVING
All the parallel ends are bound and a fabric is created by inserting a weft thread.
The warp thread is vertical while the weft thread is a horizontal thread.

13. LAYOUT
The material is laid out on the table in predefined lengths, and cut to provide sets of layers.
The layers are folded and forwarded to the laundry.

15. LAUNDRY
A predetermined number of layers are put into the washer where they are washed to remove natural oils from the cotton and any dirt.
The layers are moved to the dryer where the fabric is dried.
From the drier it is folded neatly into layers ready for the next process.

17. MAKE-UP
The layers are slit along the gutters into their bandage widths.
These are spooled, put into roll form and labeled and packed into sets of dozens.
The polybags are packed into cartons and then forwarded to stores.
Cartons are checked out from stores to the dispatch area where quantities are checked and the shipments delivered to the relevant customers.
Sundries – Abdominal and cleansings swabs are made up of 100% gauze material only, or combined with cotton wool. Traction kits, maternity, dissecting swabs, etc. are also manufactured.

21. TESTING
All raw materials are tested upon receipt as to the quality as per order.
Quality control checks are conducted at the lab for each manufacturing process.
Dimensions, and pre-defined specifications are adhered to.

23. ADMIN AND SALES
Sales interacts with the client base informing them of new products and what is available and ensuring that stock levels are maintained.

25. PRODUCTS CHC conforms to ISO 9000 standards.
All products are designed with the end user in mind which is why they are made using 100% cotton to ensure coolness and comfort.
CHC adapts to customer requirements, eg. Contour conforming bandages uses natural woven cotton instead of synthetic material.
