2. Collaboration
A group endeavor that involves students, families, educators, and community agencies

3. Mainstreaming
Students are placed in regular classrooms all or part of the day. They leave the regular classroom to work with their Special Education teacher. The Special Education teacher is responsible for their progress.

4. Inclusion
Students attend a regular classroom regardless of disability. Sometimes the Special Education teacher attends the class too.

5. IEP Individual Education Plan
Each Special Education student has an IEP. If this child is in your classroom, you must read this plan and follow it.

6. Testing
With more standardized testing occurring online, Special Education students must have their needs met.
This can vary from having the test read to them to providing special software or hardware to enable them to effectively take the test.
