9 How much electricity? Annual mean flow rate greater 20 m3/s*
If we take 20 m3/s as the peak flow rate: One turbine = 518 homes (1.96 M kWh per year) Two turbines = 1,036 homes (3.92 M kWh per year) *Estimated figure only

10 Who gets the electricity?
National grid Energy supplier pay: - Fixed sum per kWh generated - Separate payment for exported to national grid Payback in approx. 10 years

11 Funding Cost: Potentially between £300k* and £500k* Funding:
Bath and West Community Energy (BWCE) Create a ‘Keynsham’ energy company - Community members become shareholders *Estimated figures only
