The dark blue is the polar zone

3 Climate zone facts TEMPERATURE IN SUMMER CAN GET AS LOW AS 10 DEGREES CELSIUS – 37 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT TEMPERATURE IN WINTER CAN GET AS LOW AS – 30 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT THE POLAR ZONE AREAS OF THE WORLD ARE VERY COLD WITH LOTS OF SNOW AND STRONG WINDS THE LAND IS FLAT AND COVERED WITH ICE AND SNOW. IN WARMER AREAS EXISTS VEGETATION CALLED THE TUNDRA.

4 Animals in the polar zone
The polar bear’s skin is actually black, the black skin soaks up the sun’s heat and helps them stay warm. The penguin’s have thick skin and lots of blubber under their skin to keep warm in cold weather.

5 Polar zone plants Lichen Moss Cyperacede Algae Dwarf shrub The plants grow close to the ground and close together, helping them to resist the effects of cold weather. Plants have the ability to grow under a layer of snow, and to carry out photosynthesis in extremely cold temperatures.

6 Here are some natural disasters
Frozen water fall An avalanche happens because the snow packed down on the surface can not support itself with all the weight. Avalanche
