1 ECFRS - Combined Groups’ Six Monthly Performance Review April – September 17
Kerry Taylor

2 What does the review cover?
Combined and individual Group progress against a cross-section of planned activity between 1st April – 30th September 17*. Information taken from the following sources:- BIRT Management Dashboard Debrief Spreadsheet – Staff Office Exercise Planner – Operations. N.B. The Station Planner is currently being trialled (17-18) and therefore has not been used to inform this review. * Fitness and Exercise reporting data extends to mid-October.

3 Why are we reporting on progress?
The Combined Groups’ have made significant advances in centralising key information necessary to appraise performance. Presenting periodic reviews assists to raise awareness, inform future decisions and enable specific targeting of underperforming areas. Outcomes may support inception of a ‘guiding coalition’ to further standardise, streamline and build on the Station Planner Working Group recommendation:- ‘Set regular operational performance standardisation meetings to address gap left by the Service Delivery Board’.

22 Potential Next Steps 1. Initiate a standardisation group to regularly meet & develop targeted solutions to automate KPIs/LPIs and oversee departmental alignment. 2. Champion Station Manager & Watch Manager ‘Away Days’ to team-build, review performance and share best practice. 3. Prioritise one overarching database to hold progress information against each Station Plan objective, reducing input burden & enabling automation to drive progress.
