Quartz-vinyl tile is produced by pressing method at high temperatures and is made from the mixture containing arenaceous quartz, vinyl, plasticizers and pigments. Arenaceous quartz makes product abrasion resistant, chemically tolerant and thermally stable, the use of plasticizers makes product flexible and shock resistant. Thanks to components which are part of a tile it has the highest attrition resistance (tile presented on the Russian market has the highest T group), firmness, flexibility and chemical resistance to the basic alkalis and acids mixtures. Quartz-vinyl tile is fireproof. The class of combustibility is G2 (products of G1 class are made also), smoke-forming ability - D2 class. Tile does not absorb moisture (as laminate). Fire safety. Temperature range is from - 40оС up to +200оС. A tile is subdivided into classes only on the basis of its width. Quartz-vinyl tile is not subject to shrinkage, deformation and extension (it is flexible as linoleum, but does not break up as ceramic granite).
