How is beauty defined? the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern

How is beauty defined by other culture? Greek Japanese define beauty from a rational point of view; "we are all geometers", attracted to men with better proportion and symmetry Plato - beautiful objects incorporated proportion, harmony, and unity among their parts. harmony Aristotle -the universal elements of beauty were order, symmetry, and definitenesssymmetry Perfectionist of the west Wabi-sabi ( ) "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect Wabi = rustic simplicity Sabi = beauty or serenity wisdom in natural simplicity
