Famunera is Africa’s online agribusiness marketplace for Buyers, Sellers, Financial Institutions, Co-operative Unions (Associations) and Freighters (Logistics Companies) to display, advertise & sell all their agro commodities, inputs, equipment (machinery), agro real estate and agro services within Uganda & across Africa.
World bank Report 2013; Estimates that Africa’s farmers and agribusinesses could create a trillion dollar food market by 2030, if they are able to access more capital, electricity and better technology.
The trading platform currently has an audience of over 1,500 registered traders and over 30,000 followers on social media within Uganda, Africa and worldwide. Our ecosystem consists of various stakeholders ranging from primary commercial farmers, agro processors (those adding value to agro commodities), merchants (dealers), freighters (clearing and forwarders), warehousing service providers, suppliers of agro machinery, extension service providers, insurers, farmer groups (associations) and agribusiness financers such as banks, SACCOs, credit firms, among others.

The solution
Famunera is providing both an online (website) and mobile based (Mobile App) trading platforms which enable agro traders to display, advertise, buy and sell from anywhere at any time using their mobile phones or personal computers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
The platform has two trading sections which include;
Marketplace Section – For the agro traders and service providers to permanently display, advertise & sell their food & agricultural products & services under respective categories from where the buyers can search and find suppliers of their choice i.e Food and Beverages, Agriculture and Appliances, Agro Real Estate, Kitchenware and Appliances, E-books, Services, Job Listings and Others.
