9 The Nitrogen Cycle Nitrogen is an element found in proteins.
Nitrogen fixation- the process of capturing and converting nitrogen into a usable form. Denitrification- the process of soil bacteria converting fixed nitrogen compounds back into a gas.

10 The Phosphorus Cycle Phosphorus is an element essential for growth and development of organisms.
