2. Overview
In order to accommodate NROTC Shooting resources and facilities correctly some rules, course of fire, and standard operating procedures will be set in accordance with Safety and the Level of Training of the shooters across the board.
Rules and Regulations that govern the USMC/Navy Division Matches are effective only when adhered to and enforced.
Each University will need approx. 400 Rounds Total.
- 400 Rounds will account for those that may require Alibi Relay’s.
Teams will consist of (4) Experienced Shooters

3. Minimal Training Requirements for Shooters

Minimal Training Requirements for Shooters
Small Arms Familiarized in accordance with NSTC M _.
Performed a Unit Weapons Handling Test or familiar training.
All Pistol Firing will be ONE handed.
Targets.
Pistol Target for Match/Practice – 50Ft. International Slow Fire Pistol Target/NRA B-11.
Practiced the Course of Fire for a minimum of 2 hours total prior to the match.
- Focus on Timed Fire and Magazine Changes with emphasis of familiarity with weapon and Weapon Safety Rules.
- If programs are unable to accommodate any of these minimum requirements 2 hours has been set aside to fulfill training to conduct safe weapons handling and execution of the shooting competition.

4. Competitive Shooting Scoring
Scoring will be a sum of numbers where the grease ring of the round strikes the target.
X’s and V’s will be marked on the Bullseye of the targets prior to shooting.
- Hits on X’s and V’s will separate ties.
- Too many shot holes on target, highest points will go to the shooter.
- Misses will be verified by the block and the shooter for agreement in all misses.

1. 2 Mags of 5 Rounds in 300 seconds (5 Minutes) with magazine change
2. 2 Mags of 5 Rounds in 30 seconds with magazine change
1 Mag of 5 Rounds in 10 seconds

6. Competitive Shooting TOP GUNNER CUP
After the completion of the .22 Caliber Pistol Course of Fire, Team Top Competitors (2) from each team will compete in the Top Gunner Cup. PT evolutions will take place outside Converse Hall.

Time Limit: 15 Seconds

8. Competitive Shooting Top Gunner Cup Scoring
1. Scoring based on target performance: maximum score 50 pts.
2. For every 5 seconds a competitor is faster than the next fastest time, an additional points will be added to their score.
3. Overall time starts with the start of the sprint (PT evolution) and ends with the final round fired down range.
4. 15-second shooting period starts once competitor’s weapon goes to Condition 1 (magazine in weapon, round in chamber, weapon on SAFE).
