Mary’s Government Below is a paragraph that suggests Mary’s government was inefficient. TASK: write a paragraph in the same format that undermines this argument, by suggesting Mary’s appointment of 50 councillors did not necessarily make her government ineffective. Mary’s government must be considered ineffective: it was inefficient and faction ridden. Evidence of this is clear, Mary appointed 50 councillors and consequently the most importance decision (her marriage to Phillip), was never discussed formally in the Council. This conveys inefficiency because such a large number of Councillors compromised the institutions ability to government on issues of central importance to England and it’s potential future.
