Upload a great Cover Photo and Profile Picture.

Just because your social media pages exist doesn’t mean people see them!
List your social media sites on all of Department marketing materials (i.e. flyers, brochures, posters, business cards, newsletters, etc.) so people know how to find you online.

Think about everything going on with your Department in the next three months and develop a plan/schedule for posts.
List them out on a calendar so you can see what’s coming up.

Events, Family Freedom Festivals
President’s Corner/Auxiliary Corner

6. Social Media What to Post: Share posts from:
VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters
VFW National Headquarters
Local VFW Post
VFW National Home for Children
Military-related news (i.e. from Military.com, Stripes.com, etc.)

7. Social Media Social Media Tips: Use proper spelling and grammar.
Post at least 3 times per week.
Post and share images and videos; go live!
Answer questions and respond to comments in a timely manner (within hours).
When responding to someone, use the person’s name.
