The form of verbs that you find in the dictionary are called infinitives.
ie…jugar, comer,
escribir, nadar, etc

The form of verbs that you find in the dictionary are called infinitives.
Infinitives in English are preceded by “to”
Infinitives in Spanish end in “r”
ie…jugar - to play, comer - to eat,
escribir - to write, nadar - to swim, etc.

In Spanish, there are three types of infinitives (based on how they end).

escribir - to write
