PrEP protocols added 2014. As of October 1, 2016 (most recent data available) 20 affiliates provide PrEP services at a total of 237 centers. That’s over 35% of all Planned Parenthood health centers nationwide. 11 of those affiliates also provide PEP services at a total of 140 centers. Not all affiliates who provide PrEP provide PEP.

Partnered with BAI to guide us in reaching black females. 4 Needs assessment – integral in shaping our efforts
Needs assessment – integral in shaping our efforts. We did an online survey and key informant interviews of attitudes, services offered (clinical and education/outreach/marketing), and resources and tools needed to support or expand services. - found staff & leadership highly motivated n their desire to provide the service - some discomfort around prescribing PrEP - perception that patients would be interested /candidates - funding to support program, case managers, and patient assistance program support - marketing assistance, community partnership building But most requested resource was around staff training…

5 - most often requested support/resource was assistance around staff training. Specifically:
- TTT resources and support to improve or expand HIV risk reduction counseling and establish a MI protocol - request specific for training geared to different audiences (clinician viewpoint, health educator, and assistant level) - training on reaching special populations - detailed info about formats desired for training materials Able to customize training approach and resource development based on N.A. We did the same for the identified needs re: resources needed for patient/community education, operational resources, as well as hone in special populations the field wanted the most help with (and customize training).
