Wellington Quarries - underground limestone quarries beneath the town
- an underground network of some twenty kilometers, with existed just in front of the German lines. - twenty meters sub-earth - capable of housing almost 24,000 men.

VII/The conditions Bad conditions: -food was little appropriate
-cold water to wash -humidity -wooden beds .. But the quarries were equipped: -hospitals -kitchens -showers ..
