22 Below are two American superstitions. Try to make a wild guess to see if you can guess them right.

23 Question 1: Guess why fingernail clippings must not be left for others to find. reason

24 Reason: Fingernail clippings can be used to cast spells on their owners.

25 Question2: When getting married, why brides traditionally wear or carry something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue? reason

26 Reason: 1. Something old which has brought good luck to its owner in the past will also bring good luck to the new owner. 2. Something new is a symbol of hope for the future. 3. Something borrowed adds the good luck of the giver to the bride. 4. Blue is considered to be a lucky color. It is a traditional protection for all women.
