For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. -Audrey Hepburn Dear Reader, Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio. If you dont know the theme just by looking at it, its ok. In fact, I did a little soul searching to come up with something that would give you a chance to get to know me on a different level. The theme of my portfolio is INSPIRATION. Throughout my life, I have been inspired by people, places, quotes, and events. These blessings in my life have molded me into the person who I am today. Like many, I also have a few people whom I look up to because of the way they live their lives whom I have never met. These famous artists, celebrities, musicians, and heroes have encouraged me to live my life not only to make myself happy but also the people I encounter throughout my life, and the entire world around me. My hope is that through viewing my writing from years past you will get a glimpse at how I have grown and changed from a young and naïve child, to a mature, educated young adult who will soon be starting the next chapter of my life in college. Im sure you will notice the multitude of spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as strange story topics in my elementary works. I would also like to personally apologize for the messy handwriting and backwards letters, but what can I say I was five, I still had training wheels, literally. But now, as graduation almost too quickly approaches us, I have realized just how much IO have learned from my wonderful teachers and role models. Over these 12 years I have not only learned what it means to be a successful writer, but also something far deeper than academic skills. I have learned who I am, and I have grown confident that I have the potential to be amazing. So, to my teachers, my coaches, my family, my friends, and all of you, thank you for being my INSPIRATION.
