To get us on the track to build way cool projects, we’re going to talk for the next 10 minutes about how we present creative ideas and inventions at Build-It-Yourself.
At Build-It-Yourself, it’s important to have good ideas. But it’s just as important to know how to present your ideas so they get the attention good ideas deserve.
A great idea may never benefit others if you don’t present it well:
explain your idea clearly,
focus on your audiences’ interests, and
sell your idea convincingly.
So get ready to spend time drawing, writing and presenting your ideas clearly, concisely and convincingly.

Advanced civilizations have Sphinx-like monuments, Taj Mahal-like structures, Google-like laboratories and Harry Potter like castles that inspire creative builders to invent amazing contraptions.
We are starting a new civilization called the Amaterasu. Our land is barren but it has a ton of potential.

The clash of civilizations is a recurring theme in human history. Often when a civilization flourishes, there have been evil doers who want to destroy, pillage, and plunder that civilization and keep the world in darkness.
In our land of Minecraftia, live an amazing, creative, advanced developing civilization called Amaterasu.
But there also exists the nefarious, evil Black Shadow who are threatening the Amaterasu.

Develop the engineering skills needed to build magnificent music machines, clever time contraptions, amazing fireworks, and fun games.
Then build defense systems to protect your inventions from the Black Shadow evil doers.

It looks like a way, but look closer, Stairs used for depth at the base, multiple materials/textures, terraces, wall is curved. Makes you want to stay out, good for defense

If you destroy others property big brother will ban you from the land
When claiming your property, post a sign with the first names of your team members
You can only work at home if you have your own account (you cannot use BIY accounts at home- other students need them!!!!)
The coordinates of your property can be set by going to your entrance and typing /sethome in chat. /home will not teleport you home.
