Conduct of Those Who Love Their Brethren Introduction. A. John 13:35, "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. Not just by the sign on the building!

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren B. Not only by the other 16 character- istics of the N. T. church: Founder, Foundation, Doctrine, Worship, Organ- ization, Work, etc.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren C. But by their love toward each other. What is love? Good will, act of the intellect and will (not merely an expression of the emotions). Known by its actions, Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 13:4-7. (By what it does and does not do).

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren I. What is the conduct of those who do NOT love their brethren? A. Titus 3:3, malice, envy … hating one another. 1 Cor. 3:1-3, carnal… envy, strife and divisions… Act just like worldly people.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren B. Gal. 5:15, if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! This sounds like wild beasts. Or two snakes that swallow each other.

We try to excuse ourselves: Shouldnt be so sensitive, so thin-skinned… But its wrong to be offensive and insulting. This is carnality. (5:20, causes hatred, contentions, etc.). Prov. 18:19, hard to win the offended.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren D. James 4:11, Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. 5:9, Do not complain, brethren, against one another. If we do it, it is hypocrisy to say brothers which indicates a spiritual relationship in Christ.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren E. Gen. 13:8, Please let there be no strife between you and me, for we are brothers. Were sons of God; so we are brothers (and sisters) in Christ.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren II. Conduct of those who DO love their brethren. A. Rom. 12:10, A. Rom. 12:10, Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love. 1 Pet. 3:8, love as brothers, be tender- hearted, be courteous.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren The use of different languages should not hinder fellowship among brethren. We should visit gospel meetings, understand and participate all we can. Support with presence, greet, sing, listen …

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren E. Eph. 4:30, do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God… How do we avoid this? V. 31, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. V. 32, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another just as God in Christ also forgave you.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren In any congregation there will be differences and disagreements, but these must be resolved in a brotherly manner.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren F. 1 Thess. 4:18, comfort one another with these words. 1 Thess. 5:11, encourage one another and build up one another.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren G. Philemon 7, the hearts of the saints have been refreshed (Mat. 11:28) by you, brother. What do brethren say after our visit? Refreshed? Or glad theyre gone?

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren I. Hebrews 10:24, I. Hebrews 10:24, let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, does not end with period. How? V. 25, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together… Those who miss do not consider their brethren! Theyre inconsiderate.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren J. James 5:16, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another. Not try to blame someone else. Not make excuses to justify ourselves. Not commit another sin (lie) to cover the first one. Prov. 28:13, cover or confess?

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren K. Gal. 5:13, through love serve one another. The best way to promote harmony in the congregation. Family of Stephanas, 1 Cor. 16:15; Rom. 16:1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 12; Phil. 4:3, etc.

The Conduct of Those Who Love their Brethren Conclusion. Love is known by what it does NOT do and by what it DOES do. Without Bible love (good will, good attitude) we are nothing, 1 Cor. 13:3; John 13:35.
