2 1 Corinthians 13 Love is kind Thayers, to show ones self mild, to be kind, use kindness Love means we have a mild spirit that likes to do kind things

3 1 Corinthians 13 Love does not envy Thayers, to burn with zeal, to be heated or to boil with envy, hatred, anger Love means we dont allow the good fortune of others to cause strife in our hearts

4 1 Corinthians 13 Love does not parade itself NRSV, boastful Thayers, to boast ones self Love does not seek to call attention to ourselves

5 1 Corinthians 13 Love is not puffed up NRSV, arrogant Thayers, to be puffed up, to bear ones self loftily, be proud Love does not allow us to think ourselves better than anyone else

6 1 Corinthians 13 Love does not behave rudely Thayers, to act unbecomingly Love means there is a proper and right way to act
