RIVER CITY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS – SERVICE LEARNING 32 hours (8 per year)
Answers to commonly asked questions: service learning is a graduation requirement. students are required to do 8 hours of service learning per year. must be done for a nonprofit company or charity. must be done outside of school hours. you may not receive payment for service learning. you may work for the same organization for all four years. you may not do all 32 hours in one year. you may do the hours the summer before it is due. You must turn in a photo and service learning form to receive credit.

Civil Service Cosmetology Culinary Drywall Electrical HVAC Laborer Machinist Medical Assistant Painter Plumber Roofer Surveyor Career Education is a system of learning while earning, and "learning by doing." It combines training on the job with related and supplemental instruction at school. Today, it is utilized chiefly in the skilled crafts. In many skilled occupations, persons with a high school diploma or its equivalent are preferred. Prospective skilled workers usually like to work with their hands and to use various tools to build and repair things.
